Job Title: Prep Cook / Dishwasher (Part-Time)


$21.76 to $24 per hour DOE. Plus benefits.

About Us:

We’re a small, cozy bar with a literary soul and a small kitchen. We’re looking for a reliable, efficient team member to support our lead cook by prepping ingredients, keeping the kitchen clean, and helping with dishes and light service duties.

 

The Role:

This is a hands-on role in a small operation. You’ll work closely with our lead cook/kitchen manager to prep items for service, maintain cleanliness and food safety standards, and jump in where needed.

 

Requirements

  • Is dependable, detail-oriented, and organized.

  • Has some kitchen or dishwashing experience.

  • Can follow instructions and work efficiently without constant supervision.

  • Has excellent knife skills.

  • Maintains a positive attitude and respects a clean, shared space.

  • Must have food handler’s card.

  • Is able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on their feet for several hours.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, and equipment.

  • Assist with prep tasks like washing, chopping, portioning, and basic cooking.

  • Label, date, and store ingredients and prepared items.

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and trash areas.

  • Receive and organize deliveries.

  • Support during service as needed.
