Job Title: Prep Cook / Dishwasher (Part-Time)
$21.76 to $24 per hour DOE. Plus benefits.
About Us:
We’re a small, cozy bar with a literary soul and a small kitchen. We’re looking for a reliable, efficient team member to support our lead cook by prepping ingredients, keeping the kitchen clean, and helping with dishes and light service duties.
The Role:
This is a hands-on role in a small operation. You’ll work closely with our lead cook/kitchen manager to prep items for service, maintain cleanliness and food safety standards, and jump in where needed.
Requirements
Is dependable, detail-oriented, and organized.
Has some kitchen or dishwashing experience.
Can follow instructions and work efficiently without constant supervision.
Has excellent knife skills.
Maintains a positive attitude and respects a clean, shared space.
Must have food handler’s card.
Is able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on their feet for several hours.
Responsibilities:
Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, and equipment.
Assist with prep tasks like washing, chopping, portioning, and basic cooking.
Label, date, and store ingredients and prepared items.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and trash areas.
Receive and organize deliveries.
Support during service as needed.
